retail therapy

I've had my eye on a lot of stuff on Asos recently and I've just decided to order some lovely bits for the summer instead of being sensible and saving for travelling.. and I haven't been shopping in absolutely AGES so I guess I can treat myself every once in a while ;)

so now I'm just waiting for a package to arrive.. and it will contain some lovely pieces including the top below <3

Now I'm gona put some more suncream on and head back to the pool!

summer wishlist/perfect wardrobe part three

I love having Sunday nights off, relaxing and getting ready for the coming week! So after finishing work for the week (after 53.5 hours, cant believe it... it went really quick as we are getting busier and busier every day!) I took over the sofa and been watching TV, catching up on my blog reading list and just chilling! the only downside of today was the fact that I discovered about 20 mosquito bites all over my legs when I got home!!! It's just ridiculous, I mean I worked for 8 hours INDOORS so there must have been a very thristy little mosquito (or two) after my blood... and now my legs are very itchy and look like I've got chicken pox! So no outfit photos taken this afternoon.. my legs look so bad couldn'n even make it to the gym :(

To cheer myself up I had a loooong look around on some of my favourite online shops to get some ideas for a perfect summer wardrobe :)

Would love to be able to buy a whole new wardrobe for the summer!!! Have you got any favourite pieces?

I've got a day off tomorrow and I'm planning on starting the day with a nice long gym session (actually will have to see first the state my legs are in..) then working on my portfolio for a little bit and finally booking some last bits for my travels in June. NINE weeks of placement left yay!

PS. Got some exciting news for next September when I'm moving back to the UK... moving in with one of my best friends!! It's going to be amazing and so much fun living with her :)

How is it Friday AGAIN tomorrow? Weeks just go by so fast these days and in ten weeks' time I will have finished my placement, left the island, and will be sitting in a hotel room in Atlanta, getting ready to board a train to New Orleans the next morning :) I've got pretty much everything booked and paid for the month I'll be travelling - transport and accommodation wise that is! Will blog about the plans a bit more closer to the time.. if I start now my blog might actually turn into a travel planning diary!

Anyway, as it's Friday tomorrow it means a well needed night out. I'm working an evening shift (as almost every Friday for some reason...) and will be going out straight from work so I've almost got my outfit planned already. I've narrowed it down to two, so the question is shall I wear my beloved LBD or a bit more colour?

At the moment I'm going for the top and skirt combo :) the LBD would need some accessorizing and I'm sort of bored of all my jewellery.. miss the collection I had to leave behind in Manchester! We shall see what I decide tomorrow or if I end up going out in something completely different.

Seriously. I'm having severe withdrawal symptoms from Topshop, and the British high street in general. It's not the same in America boo hoo :( I love being able to go to Victoria's Secret as often as I want as there's one on the island, and there's a Forever21 and an Urban Outfitters store in Savannah... but I'm missing my biggest love and inspiration, Topshop.

So, if I was in Manchester and could just spend a fortune in Topshop, this is what would already be in my wardrobe... <3

As the weather on the island has improved a lot in the past week I've been so tempted to buy a couple more bikinis to complete my bikini/swimwear collection :) I spent the whole day by the pool on Saturday desperately trying to top up my very faded tan, and will be heading there today for a little bit before work! I refuse to return home in July without an amazing tan!!

So I had a quick look on some of my favourite shops, and discovered an Australian brand called 'Zimmermann' and fell in love with their swimwear... so here's a couple of my favourites :)

It’s pissing it down (AGAIN) today so what would be better than having a think about the perfect summer wardrobe? Beautiful little dresses and summery skirts, tops and shorts, bikinis, sunglasses, ballet pumps and flipflops, trilby hats, beach bags... the list goes on! I’ve collected some of the very inspirational pieces I've found J

And now I actually have to make it to my car on the other side of the parking lot to get to work... rain rain please go away!!

a mango find

Just a quick post before I’m off to work... had to take a couple of photos of a gorgeous blouse I got in Mango. I was on a very tight budget in Miami but couldn’t resist the 70% off sales in Mango on Collins Avenue J

Simply beautiful isn’t it? The material is very sheer and a little see-through, and I’ve already got so many outfit ideas for my lovely new blouse... with a black mini skirt, nude heels and some chunky jewellery for a night out or dressing it down a little with denim shorts.

What a great morning – I was reading though my favourite blogs’ updates and discovered this great website called Fashiolista. It’s very simple, you just create a profile and love clothes, shoes, accessories etc. you find on the website or anywhere online, and Fashiolista collects them all together for you and everyone else to see your style on your profile! Love it J

project: perfect wardrobe - part 1

As it’s already two weeks into the new year I had a look at the resolutions I made – one of them creating a better wardrobe with interesting pieces of clothing that are ‘me’, everyday basics and items that will last forever. I officially hate winter and the cold weather it brings so what would be a better way to start my little project than dreaming of a perfect collection of coats and jackets that will keep me warm during my least favourite time of the year...
