a piece of home

I finally have the time to sit down and blog about last week! It's my only day off this week (HELLO overtime pay next pay check!!) and I want to make the most of it before I'm back at work tomorrow.

First of all, my loveliest parents brought me some bits from home when they came to see me last week.. the ones I've been missing the most during my time in the States.

I am quite predictable... so some Finnish magazines to read by the pool, and sweets of course! Can't beat Fazer's chocolate (although I have to admit Cadbury's is a very close second - and yes a Cadbury's chocolate will be my very first purchase when I get back to the UK!).. once a fatty always a fatty I guess ;)

I'm really looking forward to going home for the summer, it's kind of scary that I'm gona be home, reunited with my whole family and oldest friends in less than FOUR MONTHS!! Landing in Helsinki on July 5th eeek :)

five sleeps to go

... and my family comes to see me! I'm so excited as I last saw them in May so clearly it's been waaay too long. I've got the whole week off work so I'm sure it's going to be such a fun week - being a tourist on the island and making day trips to Savannah and Charleston :) And, most importantly, eating out every night yum.. I know there's a little fatty inside me!

Anyway, before I get too excited I wanted to share my favourite outfit from last night's Academy Awards. I was at work till 11pm last night so didn't get a chance to actually watch it but I had a little peak of the outfits online. I just love events like that and picking out my favourite outfit :)

Just loved Halle Berry's dress :) I know she's had some interesting choices in the past years but this one totally won me over. And she looks absolutely stunning with her cropped hair too!
