five sleeps to go

... and my family comes to see me! I'm so excited as I last saw them in May so clearly it's been waaay too long. I've got the whole week off work so I'm sure it's going to be such a fun week - being a tourist on the island and making day trips to Savannah and Charleston :) And, most importantly, eating out every night yum.. I know there's a little fatty inside me!

Anyway, before I get too excited I wanted to share my favourite outfit from last night's Academy Awards. I was at work till 11pm last night so didn't get a chance to actually watch it but I had a little peak of the outfits online. I just love events like that and picking out my favourite outfit :)

Just loved Halle Berry's dress :) I know she's had some interesting choices in the past years but this one totally won me over. And she looks absolutely stunning with her cropped hair too!

Hello from little miss ill. So I'm starting to realize going out last night wasn't the best idea.. stayed in on Friday, in bed yesterday and suddenly felt a lot better later on at work so a night out why not! I wasn't drinking last night which is why I volunteered to drive and got home at a reasonable hour too (well, to be honest only because all bars in SC stop playing music at 2am!!! - stupid state law).

Hopefully a couple of hours in the sun before work will make this blocked nose and the lump in my throat go away :) And haven't taken any photos, again.

weekend plans

I think I've just had the two most unproductive days off. Ever. As Wednesday night's "drinks" turned into a crazy night and too many very strong vodkas I had kind of a killer hangover yesterday... actually had to resort to a McDonalds!! Bad times. Today's been almost as bad - not enough sleep last night after sleeping all day yesterday, going to the staff meeting too early in the morning, coming down with a cold (right now my nose is blocked, eyes sore and head is aching)... dear me.

Anyway, I'm still debating whether I should go out for a little bit or just stay in bed and have a quiet night. I think I'm still recovering from Wednesday and might drive out and have a laugh watching everyone else getting off their faces haha. Kind of have also decided what I'd wear sooo really can't stay in ;) I've got another friend's birthday drinks to go to tomorrow night so it should be a fun weekend!

Here's what I'm planning on wearing tonight... we'll see how many times I change my mind before leaving the house!
